Vietnam produced 3.8Mt of cement in February, down 9.5 per cent from January but an increase of 35.3 per cent YoY, according to the latest data from the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO).
In the first two months of 2014, the cement output rose by 6.7 per cent YoY to 8Mt, the office said in a monthly report.
The office also revised down the country’s cement output in January to 4.2Mt from the earlier estimated figure of 4.8Mt.
In 2013, Vietnam’s cement output hit 56.84Mt, according to the revised figure.
