TCMB elects new chairman

Mehmet Göçmen has been elected chairman of the Turkish Cement Manufacturers Association (TÇMB) by board members at the 56th General Assembly meeting last month. Mr Göçmen is currently Sabanci Holding Cement Group President. He has previously held positions at Akcansa and Lafarge.

Mr Göçmen replaces Mustafa Güçlü who has served as TÇMB chairman since 2011.

The TÇMB, which represents 68 domestic cement plants comprising 49 integrated works and 19 grinding units, has also elected new members to its board:
