Cement consumption in Spain increased by five per cent to 1,037,219t in October when compared with the same period last year, latest data from domestic association Oficemen shows.
Despite the industry’s recovery still being far off, October’s advance is the second consecutive monthly rise following September’s 6.1 per cent YoY increase.
In the first 10 months of 2014, cement demand slipped 0.5 per cent YoY to 9,116,872t. Figures for the rolling year show a 2.2 per cent fall.
