Alfonso Conde has been appointed COO of Cemex in Aragon, Spain. His new responsibilities will include managing quarrying operations, the integrated cement works of Morata de Jalon, as well as the company’s Aragon mortar and concrete plants.
Mr Conde hails from Madrid and has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Alfonso X El Sabio University and an MBA in Management of People for the IDE-Cesem Institute of Directors of Spain.
He has spent most of his career at Cemex since its incorporation in 2002. Between 2003 and 2007 he was Production Management assistant in the company’s Alicante and San Vicente del Raspeig plants as well as assuming responsibility for the commissioning of a grinding plant in Italy. From 2007 until his recent appointment as COO of Cemex in Aragon, Conde has served as Production Manager in Alicante where he oversaw the quarrying, production and shipment departments.
