Euromecc completes installation of Catania cement distribution terminal

Euromecc Srl has completed the installation of a new storage and distribution terminal at the port of Catania, Sicily, for cement distributor Cata Beton.

The turnkey project included the installation of two circular silos with a total storage capacity of 8000t. A double discharge cone enables the continuous feeding of tankers through extractor screws equipped with two dedusting telescopic dischargers.
 
The terminal is completely automated and equipped with radio frequency identification technology.
 
Euromecc Srl's scope of supply included the mobile ship unloader to discharge cement from the vessel at the Catania Port. It project also included the supply of tankers to transport cement deliveries to Cata Beton’s distribution facility in Catania’s industrial area, on the outskirts of the town and just 14km from the main port.
