Greenfield plant in Turkmenistan announced

Turkmenistan plans to build a 1Mta cement plant in the Koytendag region of the Lebap province, the country's industry ministry has said.

The plan comes under the 'Program for Development of Construction and Industrial Sectors in 2012-16,' which is designed for the diversification and modernisation of the building materials infrastructure.

The Koytendag region has rich reserves of raw materials and railway infrastructure has been established, which will allow for increased export opportunities, according to the report published by Trend News.
