McInnis Cement has announced two new members of its management team for the Port-Daniel-Gascons cement plant currently under construction in the Gaspesie region of Canada.
Alexandre Rail has been named plant manger plant manager of the new works, with the position effective immediately. "We are pleased with our recruitment of an experienced manager in the heavy industry who shares our values in the areas of health and safety, environment and quality. Alexandre has proven abilities to mobilize employees,'' said Christian Gagnon, CEO of McInnis Cement.
Rail holds a PhD and master's degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University as well as a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University. He has many years of experience in metal powder manufacturing and steel plant factories.
Logistics and Distribution VP
Mark T Newhart has also been as Vice President, Logistics and Distribution and member of the management team of the company. He will report to Jim Braselton, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Logistics and will be in charge of developing an efficient distribution network for the company and their clients, including transport management and marine terminals.
''With his 30 years of experience in logistics, which includes 20 years in the cement industry, the addition of Mark to our management team is a major milestone,'' mentioned Mr Gagnon. ''Since our business model is based on marine transportation of our products, Newhart's expertise in transportation and marine terminals management will be beneficial for our organisation'' he added.
