Vietnam produced 4.2Mt of cement in February, down 19 per cent from January but up 13.3 per cent from a year ago, according to the government-run General Statistics Office.

In the first two months, the country’s cement production rose 19.8 per cent YoY to 9.4Mt, the office said in a monthly report.

In January, Vietnam generated 5.2Mt of cement, according to the revised figure.

The ministry predicted Vietnam's sales of cement and clinker to rise 1.5-4 per cent on year to between 72-74Mt in 2015, of which domestic sales will rise 4.5-6.5 per cent to 53-54Mt while the exports will be at between 19-20Mt.
