Vietnam is estimated to have produced 54.8Mt of cement in the first 10 months of this year, up 10.4 per cent from a year ago, the government-run General Statistics Office said. The figures include an output of 6.1Mt in October, an increase 10.8 per cent.

In the first nine months, the country’s cement production hit 48.7Mt, according to the revised figure.

Vietnam currently has 76 cement production lines with a combined annual output of 81.56Mt, data from the Ministry of Construction said.

The country’s sales of cement and clinker to rise 1.5-4 per cent YoY to between 72-74Mt this year, of which domestic sales will rise 4.5-6.5 per cent to 53-54Mt, while the exports will be at between 19Mt and 20Mt.
