In December 2015 Argentina’s cement producers dispatched 937,907t of cement, including exports, which represents a fall of 5.9 per cent MoM but a 3.6 per cent increase YoY, according to provisional figures published by AFCP, the country’s cement association.
The Argentinian cement market contracted 6.3 per cent MoM but expanded 4.6 per cent YoY in the last month of 2015 as 933,160t were sold.
Exports fell from 13,156t in December 2014 to 4803t one year later. In November 2015 overseas shipments reached 5750t.
Full-year 2015 statistics show Argentine cement demand at 12,099,995t, which were supplemented by 25,018t of imports. This compares with 2014 domestic demand and exports of 11,271,398t and 164,268, respectively. Imports saw a considerable increase from 2499t in 2014.
