Companies in Vietnam sold 9.44Mt of cement and clinker in the first two months of this year, rising six per cent from a year earlier and fulfilling 12.42 per cent of the whole-year target, the Building Material Department under the Ministry of Construction said.
Of the sum, 7.26Mt of cement were sold at the domestic market, up nine per cent YoY, while 2.18Mt were exported, down three per cent YoY.
In February the country’s cement sales fell 53 per cent from January and 4.4 per cent from the same month of last year to 3.02Mt, including 2.27Mt of domestic sales and 750,000t of exports.
