Semen Indonesia expects cement sales to grow between 4-5 per cent in Jan-Jun, driven by the government's push for infrastructure projects, Bisnis Indonesia reported quoting Suparni, president director of the company.
For full-year 2015, the company reported an 18.7 per cent drop in net profit to IDR4.52trn (US$336.56m) due to the increase in electricity and distribution costs, as well as the depreciation of the rupiah against the US dollar. Total sales volumes rose by 0.4 per cent to 26.45Mt with domestic dispatches falling by -0.7 per cent, but exports were up by 144.8 per cent.
