Vietnam’s clinker and cement sales climbed 15 per cent from a year earlier to 6.62Mt in January, the Ministry of Construction said.
Of the total 5.12Mt were sold in the domestic market, up 17 per cent YoY while 1.5Mt of cement and clinker were exported, the Xay Dung online newspaper cited the ministry as saying Thursday.
The ministry forecast that Vietnam's sales of cement and clinker will rise 4-7 per cent YoY to between 75-77Mt. The sum will include between 59-60Mt of domestic sales and from 16-17Mt of exports.
