The US Geological Survey has released preliminary results for the US cement shipments up to June 2016. US deliveries totalled 8,146,984t of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and blended cements in June, while foreign imports totalled just over 1Mt.

The state of Missouri produced the most cement during June with a production of 889,858t, closely followed by California’s 889,133t. Florida saw its production of cement reach 506,593t.

For the year up to 30 June 2016, US cement producers manufactured 38.9Mt of cement and recorded 4.9Mt of foreign imports.

US masonry cement production in June 2016 reached 229,217t and 1.2Mt in the first half of the year.
