Burkina Faso: CIMASSO plant under construction

Work is now well underway in Burkina Faso on a greenfield 6500tpd grinding plant for CIMASSO. The contract for the construction of the plant was signed in March by Kanis International of Burkina Faso and Intercem of Germany. This is the third time that the two companies have worked together, following the CIMFASO Ouagadougou grinding plant In Burkina Faso opened in 2015 and the signing of the CIMVOIRE project to be built in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Groundbreaking for the new CIMASSO project in Bobo Dioulasso was carried out at the end of May. In attendance were Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister and other high-ranking government representatives, local and international business representatives as well as the President of Kanis International Group, Inoussa Kanazoe, Intercem management and a further 4000 guests.

Intercem will be responsible for the supervision of the erection and the commissioning of the plant as well as for all the engineering and the supply of mechanical and electrical components.
