The price of imported cement in Matadi, Democratic Republic of Congo, has fallen in the past week from CDF13,500 (US$13.81) to CDF9500/50kg bag.

The price fall has been attributed to Angolan imports that have arrived in the market.

At the border post of Lufu, the price of a 50kg bag has fallen to as low as CDF5500.
