Nepal’s Minister for Industry, Nabindra Raj Joshi, has praised Hetauda Cement Industry for its role in the nation's future, saying “Hetauda Cement Industry is not just a factory as the nation depends on its future.”
Stating that Hetauda Cement Industry was established with state investment, he said the products are expected to be of superior quality in comparison to those of private companies. However, Mr Joshi pointed out that the state-owned company was failing to compete with its private counterparts.
General Manager of Hetauda Cement, Shankar Singh, suggested that the company would be able to increase its production capacity if it were provided with enough power supply.
