The Port of Seville, Spain, increased its throughput of cement by 481 per cent to 74,200t in 2016.
In addition, the port has expanded its business lines and diversified goods accepted by the port. This includes since the start of this year the shipment of clinker, which was previously shipped by other ports in Andalucia. The port’s location close to Portland Valderrivas’ Alcalá de Guadaíra plant has also proved beneficial for such shipments.
