Argentina's cement producers dispatched 801,782t of cement in February, a 0.8 per cent drop MoM and 8.7 per cent YoY, according to the Argentine cement producers' association, AFCP.
Domestic sales decreased 0.8 per cent YoY to 801,782t in February 2017 from 808,310t in February 2016. Exports increased 9.3 per cent YoY to 6652t from 6084t.
Supply from local cement plant was supplemented by 4210t of imports, which saw a considerable hike when compared with 30t imported in February 2016.
For the first two months of the year, the domestic market remained stable at 1,663,721t, when compared with the first two months of 2016 when sales reached 1,660,722t.
Exports in January-February 2017 saw an increase of 56.7 per cent YoY to 16,284t from 10,390t the previous year.
