Peru’s cement dispatches fell 10 per cent to 0.73Mt in April when compared with April 2016, when 0.811Mt were delivered, according to the country's cement producers' association, Asocem.
Domestic deliveries reached 0.699Mt in the fourth month of the year, down 10.5 per cent YoY. Cement exports rose five per cent MoM to 31,000t and clinker exports stood at 59,000t.
In terms of domestic demand (domestic deliveries plus imports), the fourth month of 2017 saw a 12.8 per cent YoY decline to 0.72Mt.
Cement production reached 0.74Mt, down 10.9 per cent YoY.
