Michel Andre has been appointed as the Country President for Cemex UK, with immediate effect. Andre joins the UK business following seven years as Country President for Cemex France.
Mr Andre has worked for Cemex France for a total of 12 years with senior roles in Strategic Planning and the Readymix business. Prior to joining Cemex, he worked for Lafarge in the US and France and five years at Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Besides his role as Country President of Cemex France Mr Andre was a board member and then President of the Unicem Association France, the National Union of Quarrying and Building Materials Industries representing 2700 companies and over 1m employees. The three year term as president finished in June 2017.

Michel Andre’s appointment follows the announcement of the promotion of previous Country President Jesús Gonzalez, who joins the Executive team in Monterrey, Mexico, as Executive Vice President Sustainability and Operations Development. His role covers Health & Safety, Operations & Technology, Energy, Sourcing, Research & Development and Sustainability.
