Peru’s cement producers dispatched 777,000t of cement in June 2017, representing a 2.2 per cent increase YoY, according to the latest data from Asocem, the country’s cement association. In June 2016, the domestic market required 756,000t.
Total dispatches, which include exports, advanced 2.7 per cent YoY from 781,000t to 802,000t in June 2017. Output rose 2.2 per cent from 792,000t in June 2016 to 809,000t one year later.
In terms of the rolling year, domestic cement deliveries reached 9.417Mt between July 2016-June 2017, down 5.6 per cent YoY from 9.979Mt supplied between July 2015-June 2016. Total dispatches slipped five per cent from 10.328Mt to 9.808Mt. Output during this 12-month period fell 5.3 per cent YoY from 10.41Mt to 9.856Mt.
