Emami Cement Ltd plans to raise its total production capacity to 6Mta as its 2Mta plant being set up in Odisha's Jajpur district is likely to be commissioned by March 2018.
Presently, Emami Cement is producing 60 per cent of the current total cement capacity of 4Mta through its clinker plant in Chhattisgarh and the grinding unit at Panagarh in West Bengal, Vivek Chawla, CEO of Emami Cement Ltd, told reporters.
By March 2018 these two units target to achieve the operational production capacity of 3.2Mta. Around the same time, the company would also be ready with its new grinding unit with a further 2Mta of capacity in Jajpur, he said.
Similarly, Emami Double Bull Cement, manufactured by the company targets to take up its market share to 10 per cent in all the regions of its operations by March 2019.
