At a public hearing, OCL India Ltd has received local support in Rajgangpur, Sundargarh district, for a new 2.25Mta cement cement plant, plus 3Mta of additional clinker capacity, besides the existing integrated cement plant that the company operates in the area.
The flagship associate company of Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd, OCL India is now a step closer to achieve the final environmental clearance to execute its capacity enhancement programme. With this addition, the company's total capacity in Rajgangpur will rise to 6.25Mta of cement production and 5.9Mta of clinker production.
Mr Ganesh Jirkuntwar, executive director of manufacturing, OCL India Ltd and Dalmia Cement East Ltd stated, "Riding on the overall improvement of macro-economic factors of the country, we foresee an uptick in India’s infrastructural development and thereby a potential surge in cement demand. Thus our plan to add fresh capacity through our new unit in Rajgangpur is a careful approach to be ready to cater to this growing demand.
