Semen Indonesia consolidated sales increased by 6.3 per cent YoY to 2,639,187t in September 2017. Volumes were primarily destined for the domestic market, which received 2,513,297t, an increase of 3.7 per cent when compared with the year-ago period. In addition, the cement producer saw its export sales more than double from 60,499t in September 2016 to 125,890t in September 2017.
Of total domestic sales, Semen Padang accounted for 631,158t, Semen Tonasa 501,997t and Semen Indonesia 1,380,142t, representing YoY increases of 8.3, 0.3 and 3.0 per cent, respectively.
In terms of export sales, Semen Padang exported 81,790t in September, a 150 per cent rise when compared with the year-ago period. Semen Tonasa shipped 44,100t, up 58.7 per cent YoY.
For the first nine months of 2017, Semen Indonesia’s consolidated sales rose nine per cent to 20,778,410t from 19,065,616t in 9M16. This includes a four per cent YoY rise in domestic sales to 19,392,704t and a 229.2 per cent YoY hike to 1,385,706t in export sales.
Of total domestic 9M17 sales, Semen Padang accounted for 4,584,050t, while Semen Indonesia accounted for the largest volume of 10,995,510t, representing YoY increases of 8.7 and 1.0 per cent, respectively.
Semen Tonasa reported a 4.4 per cent YoY decrease in domestic sales to 3,813,144t.
