MonCement Building Materials LLC that has been awarded with The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) Environment & Social Best Practice Award, having introuduced the latest European eco-technology to its plant.
"The MonCement plant consists of limestone open pit, two cement production lines, Mongolia’s first-ever waste heat recovery plant (WHR) which is capable of producing 5MB energy with waste heat, and clinker grinding station in Ulaanbaatar city," said Mr Joey Ghose, executive director of Moncement building materials LLC.
The cement plant at Senjit Khudag is capable of producing 3500tpd of clinker and 1Mta of cement. The deposit has abundant sources of many kinds of good quality raw materials which are sufficient for a hundred years. The deposit was identified to have 230Mt of limestone and 150Mt opf shale that could see the plant operate for 250 years.
