Loesche to supply VRM for Vicem

Loesche has won a contract from Vicem Hoang Thach Cement Co to supply a VRM for its plant in Hai Duong, Vietnam. The LM 59.3+3 CS mill has a transmission power of 6200kW and can grind 250tph of OPC to a fineness of 3600 Blaine. The machine is particularly sustainable, resource-friendly and energy-efficient, matching the cement manufacturer’s goal of making the key industry of the country's raw materials sector more environmentally friendly.

Along with facilities for handling raw material, the scope of supply includes an external reject system, dedusting equipment, a material conveying system and multi-chamber silos with two downstream packaging systems. Furthermore, the system is equipped with a Loma LF20 heater which runs on heavy oil and produces around 30,000 Nm³ of hot gas per hour at a temperature of 450°C. Loesche will also supply the equipment for the power supply, distribution and grinding plant control.

The system is expected to be operational within 2018. Last year the Vicem Group contributed 26.6Mt to the approximately 84Mt of cement produced in Vietnam.
