InterCem Engineering GmbH completed in the 4Q17 the delivery of trough belt conveyors and all related components as well as the transfer tower to Cim Ivoire’s facilities in the port of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Following the order received in 2016, Intercem’s scope of supply consisted of piling, foundation works, steel construction, cladding of the building, roofing of the belt bridges, necessary filters and chutes to the electrical equipment, installation and commissioning of the trough belt conveyors.
The ship unloading system includes two 1200tph belts with a length of 100m. The first belt can be charged with material from a hopper over its entire length. Two towers were built, with heights of ~8m and ~34m. A generator situated in the lower part of the transfer tower No 2 ensures the emergency power supply.
In line with the new regulations of the port, the system will achieve truck-free unloading of clinker and raw materials to the cement producer’s two 50,000t clinker silos and raw material shed.
