Semen Indonesia's export sales more than doubled in April to 279,945t from 118,401t in April 2017. Meanwhile, the company’s domestic cement sales remained largely stable in April at 2,116,468t.
The group’s Vietnamese subsidiary, Than Long Cement JSC (TLCC), increased its sales by 3.1 per cent to 179,050t in April from 173,725t a year ago, while its exports advanced to 91,149t from 43,900t in April 2017.
Total group sales in April 2018 rose by 8.7 per cent to 2,664,722t, up from 2,452,494t a year earlier.
In the January-April 2018 period Semen Indonesia’s domestic sales edged up by 0.9 per cent to 8.307Mt from 8.232Mt in the year-ago period. Export sales saw a 65.3 per cent higher take-off at 0.878Mt in 4M18 when compared with the 0.531Mt in 4M17.
TLCC saw its deliveries slip 7.6 per cent YoY to 0.537Mt from 0.582Mt in 4M18. However, its export sales saw a 14.9 per cent increase to 0.327Mt from 0.285Mt in the year-ago period.
In terms of total group sales, a 4.4 per cent YoY rise was reported to 10.049Mt when compared with 9.629Mt in 4M17.
