Akkord plans to increase production at Gazakh plant

Azerbaijan's Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corp OJSC plans to increase production at its Gazakh plant by a third, according to Trend News.

"Major part of the cement plant's products comes to the domestic market, and is exported to Georgia," said a source within the company.

"We aim to expand the sales. In this regard, an investment plan has been drawn up jointly with a German company. The project provides for increasing the plant's production capacity from 1Mt to 1.3Mt of products per year."
