Ecocem France officially opens new plant in Dunkerque

Ecocem France has opened its new 0.75Mta production plant in Dunkerque, France. Located on a 4ha plot in the Port of Dunkerque, the new facility is equipped with a vertical mill, a mixer and storage facilities. Further expansion is taken into account as the plant’s production capacity can be increased to 1.4Mta. 

The new plant enables Ecocem France to gain access to northern French markets as well as the Ile-de-France region. Furthermore, the company will also be able to supply the UK and northern Europe. The company has already planned exports of 0.25Mt of ground granulated blastfurnace slag (GGBS) to the UK via existing terminals in London and Manchester/Liverpool. The facility will also export 50,000t of GGBS to the Ecocem terminal in  Sweden.
