Puerto Rican cement sales up 23% in August

Cement sales in Puerto Rico increased 23 per cent YoY to 1.26m bags of 42.5kg (approx 53.55t) in August 2018. It is the eight-consecutive month of growth in cement sales after five years of decreasing sales in the country. In 2017 sales fell 11.2 per cent YoY.

Output advanced 10.6 per cent to 1.09m in August. In the year prior, cement production fell by 14.2 per cent YoY.
