Gebr Pfeiffer reports that three of its vertical mills are producing cement at Chip Mong Group in Cambodia to the customer's complete satisfaction.
The German engineering company claims that these are the most modern vertical mills in the world, and that the MVR mill comes with unique features. The cement mill in Cambodia, for example, is equipped with a MultiDrive®, which is designed with four drive modules. This drive system with an installed power of 7200kW ensures a redundant operation of the MVR 6000 C-6 and, compared with other drive solutions available on the market, achieves the highest level of availability of a vertical roller mill, claims Gebr Pfeiffer.
In addition, this combination enables the customer to go for the cost-saving “one-mill solution”. The MultiDrive® enables grinding operation to continue not only when one grinding roller is swung out but also in case of a planned maintenance stop or unplanned outage of one of the 1800kW gear units.
