Italy’s Buzzi Unicem has announced the commencement of a share buyback programme, with the company able to repurchase up to 7m ordinary and saving shares. The plans are intended to provide the company with an instrument for liquidity investment, according to a press release.
The programme will be completed within 18 months from the date at which authorisation was received on 10 May 2018 at the shareholders' meeting. The company currently owns 50,000 ordinary shares and 29,290 saving shares, corresponding in aggregate to 0.04 per cent of the entire share capital.
