Gebr Pfeiffer has erected and commissioned an MVR grinding plant at Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa, for Osho Cement in just four months. Osho Cement is a joint venture with HeidelbergCement.
The MVR 37750 C-4 mill was ordered in 2017 and is the first MVR mill in South Africa. The new mill will grind clinker at 110tph to a Blaine fineness of 3500cm2/g and 80tph of blastfurnace cement (CEM III-A) to 4500cm2/g according to Blaine. The mill also has an SLS 3750BC high-efficiency classifier with a high-precision cut, says Gebr Pfeiffer. The MVR mill has an installed power of 2600kW.
