Xuan Thanh Cement orders new line from FLSmidth

Xuan Thanh Cement has awarded FLSmidth with a DKK550m (US$82.6m) contract for a new brownfield production line at its facility in Ha Nam province, Vietnam.

FLSmidth will design and engineer the new clinker production line and deliver equipment for the entire process from crushing to clinker silo. The order is due to be completed by the end of 2020, and once operational the production line will have a capacity of 12,500tpd.

In 2015, Xuan Thanh Cement placed a similar order for a production line that has been operating successfully since 2017.

The order has become effective immediately, with engineering work scheduled to be performed in the coming months. The main revenue from the deal is expected to be recognised during 2020.
