Semen Indonesia Group and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI) have posted sales of 3.095Mt in February 2019, a significant increase of 47 per cent YoY when compared with a sales volume of 2.106Mt noted in February 2018.
Semen Indonesia reported a 7.4 per cent YoY advance in its sales volume to 2.157Mt in February 2019. Of this total, the company supplied 1.856Mt to the domestic market, up 1.2 per cent when compared with 1.835Mt in February 2018. Around 300,772t was exported, representing a 73.1 per cent YoY hike in overseas sales.
Its TLCC subsidiary saw its sales increase from 97,424t in February 2018 from 133,457t one year later. It delivered 40,541t to its domestic market, down 35.7 per cent YoY from 63,009t in February 2018. The contraction in deliveries to its home market was offset by a 169.9 per cent rise in export sales, which surged to 92,916t in the second month of the year.
Meanwhile, SBI posted total sales of 804,938t in February 2019, up two per cent YoY. Domestic sales advanced by six per cent YoY to 765,432t, but exports declined by 41.1 per cent to 39,506t in the same month.
