India-based Maadesh Cements is planning the two-phase construction of a 300tpd cement grinding unit in Kattur village, Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. The first phase will see the building of a 100tpd plant.
To build the works the company has acquired a 1.57ha plot of land and estimates the project cost at INR50m (US$721,175).
To produce OPC and PPC cement, Maadesh Cements will install a 20tph ball mil and draw 600kVA of power from the state grid. Quotations for the equipment have been received from Haryana-based Chanderpur Works and from Chennai- and Hyderabac-based firms.
The project is currently waiting for environmental clearance. Work on the first phase of the project is expected to start 3Q19.
