Lafarge Cement Hungary has announced that it will invest HUF2bn (US$6.99m) for upgrades at its plant in Királyegyháza, southwest Hungary, by the first half of next year.

The investment will boost the share of secondary fuel used at the plant from 60 to 80 per cent and reduce CO2 emissions by 10 per cent. Last year, the company generated a revenue of around HUF19bn.
