China Gezhouba Group Cement Co Ltd’s (CGGCC) plant in Shieli, Kazakhstan, was officially put into operation on 18 October. The 2500tpd China-Kazakh project began construction in April 2017, with a total investment of US$178m.
"The Kazakh government at all levels has strongly supported the construction and operation of the plant," said Li Ming, chairman of CGGCC.
The facility produces nine types of cement and is the first in Kyzylorda region.
"With the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative and Kazakhstan's Bright Path economic policy, we firmly believe that the China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation has great prospect," said Li Ming.
