Peru’s Cementos Pacasmayo has seen a 20.2 per cent YoY rise in revenue for the third quarter of 2019, on the back of a 17.6 per cent increase in the sales volume of cement, concrete and precast.
Consolidated EBITDA was up 9.9 per cent to PEN111.5m (US$33.3m), while the cement EBITDA margin fell 2.8 per cent to 29.1 per cent. Net income advanced 20.4 per cent YoY to PEN40.2m in the 3Q19.
9M19
As a result of an 11.8 per cent rise in sales for cement, concrete and precast, revenues for the 9M19 increased 10.5 per cent YoY but were still offset by lower quicklime sales.
Net income surged 18.2 per cent to PEN102.5m and EBITDA also advanced 6.7 per cent YoY in the first nine months of 2019. However, the cement EBITDA margin declined 1.4 percentage points to 29.4 per cent due to temporary costs increases, changes in the sales mix and the use of imported clinker in the 1H19.
