Société des Ciments de Hamma Bouziane to open waste incinerator

Société des Ciments de Hamma Bouziane (Algerian Cement Industry Group - GICA) has announced its intention to build an industrial waste incinerator in the municipality of Constantine, northeast Algeria.

"This project, which will be carried out in collaboration with the local environmental department, will make it possible to find common ground between the desire to further develop the cement production chain and the current concern for environmental protection," said Mustapha Kebbous, CEO of SCHB.

The project, which will also help reduced energy costs, is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
