Germany-based grinding specialist Gebr Pfeiffer has appointed Timothy Burden as president of its US subsidiary Gebr Pfeiffer Inc in Florida, effective 1 January 2020.
Since joining Gebr Pfeiffer in 2017, Tim Burden has been successful as managing director Malaysia, overseeing sales and operations in the company's Asian subsidiary. Prior to joining Gebr Pfeiffer, he had over 10 years of sales management experience within the industry.

He has the confidence of our Board of Directors to serve the needs of our customers throughout the Americas and he is a perfect fit to lead the team of professionals in our USA office," commented Mathias Dülfer, chairman of Executive Board at Gebr Pfeiffer SE.
Tim Burden grew up in the UK, where he studied at Queen’s University Belfast and The University of Southampton, achieving his Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering in 2004.
Following Mr Burden’s appointment to the US subsdiary, Vesa Peurakari will take the helm in Gebr Pfeiffer’s Malaysia subsidiary.
Vesa Peurakari grew up in Finland and Sweden. After completing his mechanical engineering studies (BSc) in Gothenburg, Sweden, he was successful for many years in the machinery industry. He is an experienced sales, project and service manager and a strong sales professional, skilled in negotiation, operational management, international business, strategic sourcing and corporate management.

He will lead a team of currently eight employees at Gebr Pfeiffer’s Malaysia office. Following the subsidiary’s establishment in 2016, at that time still a representation, it is overseeing the sales of new machinery and after-sales service for the entire southeast Asian region.
