This year, for the fourth time, CEMEX France is renewing its ISO 14001 environmental certification for 262 sites within its concrete and aggregates activities, a scope of unique scope in the building materials industry.
"The latest audits, carried out by Bureau Veritas, have largely confirmed our sustainable commitment to the environment. Among the strong points highlighted, the Group's ambitious actions in terms of CSR and biodiversity, significant improvements in waste management, the continued involvement of functional and operational teams, as well as the good maintenance and cleanliness of the audited sites," says Quentin Saivet, environment manager.
"This certification rewards our longstanding involvement in the subject of biodiversity and provides a guarantee in the pursuit of our actions, in particular with regard to the Entreprises Engagées pour la Nature scheme," said Johanna Moreau, biodiversity manager.
Since 2014, 100 per cent of CEMEX's ready-mixed concrete and aggregates sites have been ISO 14001 certified: quarries, depots, ready-mixed concrete production units, ports, pushers and administrative offices.
