The Heidelberg Materials' Managing Board has visited the Asia Cement Pukrang plant, in Thailand, in the framework of a visit in southeast Asia, which will also include the Malaysian and Indonesian operations.
The team, headed by the Group CEO Dr Dominik von Achten, has been welcomed by the Asia Cement executives and by the plant team and it has been given an extensive tour covering the key operating areas and new projects.
The recent 'separate grinding' project and the ongoing installation of the Line 1 chlorine by-pass have clearly showed the company's tight focus on the sustainability roadmap with ever-increasing scope and ambition.
Great interest has been generated by the significant share of renewable power production the plant has achieved so far thanks to the recent addition of a solar farm which complements the 23MW waste heat recovery system.
The Managing Board has expressed its sincere appreciation and extended heartfelt congratulations to the local team for the seamless dedication and commitment.
