As of today, the consortium led by Cementos Progreso Holdings takes control of Cemex's operations in the Dominican Republic and its client portfolio in Haiti, after having successfully met all the conditions of the divestment agreement announced by both parties in August 2024.
Jose Cabrera Guerra, managing director of Cemex Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Haiti, said, "This closes a very successful chapter of almost 30 years of Cemex's presence in the Dominican Republic, during which we have made a significant contribution to building a better and more sustainable future for the country and all its inhabitants."
