Maple Leaf Cement Factory Ltd of Pakistan reported its 2QFY24-25 and 1HFY24-25 consolidated results, showing a 31.2 per cent increase in 1H net profit as net profit during the second quarter improved by 66.5 per cent. 

In the 2QFY24-25 (ended 31 December 2024) the company posted a 5.3 per cent pick-up in revenues to PKR19,028.151m from PKR18,073.008m in the year-ago period. 

Gross profit increased by 18.7 per cent YoY to PKR7577.044 from PKR63822.523m in the 2QFY23-24 while profit before tax surged by 75.1 per cent YoY to PKR5120.799m from PKR2924.565m. Net profit climbed 66.5 per cent YoY to PKR3735.328m from PRK2243.022m in the 2QFY23-24.

First-half FY24-25 results
In the period of 1 July-31 December 2024, Maple Leaf Cement Factory posted a revenue of PKR34,747.988m, which remained stable when compared to its 1HFY23-24 revenue of PKR34,748.576m.

Gross profit saw an eight per cent uptick to PKR12,539.719m in the 1HFY24-25 when compared with the year-ago period, when gross profit stood at PKR11,610.156m. Profit before tax advanced by 34 per cent YoY to PKR7220.114m in the 1HFY24-25 from PKR5387.17m in the 1HFY23-24. Net profit came  in 31.2 per cent higher at PKR5077.738m in the 1HFY24-25 when compared with the equivalent period of the previous year, when the company reported a net profit of PKR3869.191m.
