Dangote Cement has resumed construction of a 6Mta cement plant in Ewekoro Local Government Area, Itori, Nigeria. The facility will have two lines built on 533ha of land and will join the company’s existing 12Mta capacity in the state to total 18Mta. 

Aliko Dangote expressed regret that the US$800m plant was not commissioned earlier as planned and had been delayed due to opposition from former Governor Ibikunle Amos. 

The project is scheduled for completion by November 2026.
