In the first half of the year, domestic cement demand has advanced 2.1 per cent to 6.57Mt when compared with the 1H18. Moroccan cement consumption rises to 1.17Mt in January13 February 2019, Published under Cement NewsCement sales in Morocco edged up to 1.17Mt in January 2019 from 1.11Mt in January 2017, according to the country’s cement association, APC. The rise in demand, which follows a market contraction of 3.7 per cent in 2018, has been welcomed with one operator commenting: “The recovery of the cement market is comforting. We hope that this upward trend will continue in the coming months.” |
