However, YoY the drop was more modest at 4.4 per cent, data from domestic association AFCP reveals. The Spanish company saw profit fall by 77 per cent to EUR10.1m although this is not comparable with the EUR20m of the previous year as the cement producer sold its stake in Cementos Artigas of Uruguay. The domestic marked demand, which includes imports, reached 910,379t, noting a 0.5 per cent fall from December 2013, but a 2.5 per cent advance on a year ago. |

While this represents a 2.7 per cent decrease when compared with August dispatches, the volume rose 15.8 per cent YoY. The internal market absorbed 1,041,084t, 2.8 per cent less than the previous month. However, when compared with September 2012, Argentine producers enjoyed a 17 per cent rise in sales. |
